Get your CV noticed today by a hiring manager with this simple trick!

Updated: Aug 9, 2020

Most HR Managers and Recruiters are met with dozens of emails that need to be answered during the day, everything from internal staffing issues, candidate emails, client queries and operational issues. With the mountain of emails to read there is often no time to study each email in detail especially when receiving candidate CV’s and cover letters. The problem is further exacerbated by poorly compiled documents.

TRY THIS TO GET YOUR NOTICED !

A simple trick that many sales specialists use is to pick your time carefully when sending your correspondence. Try sending your resume between 6:00 and 10:00 in the morning.

This increases the chances of being invited for an interview. You can use the delay function in Outlook to assist you with this task. Another good tip is to use one of the many applications such as boomerang or mailtrack to track when your email has been opened.

I find this an excellent way to also check if you your email has been completely ignored and then to resend your email or send a reminder email with the original email attached.
